Cathy Myers

As many of you already know, one of our dear friends, Cathy Myers, died last Friday night.

Veronica wrote about Cathy and her husband, Billy,  on her blog.

I found this picture of them from a dive off Easy Diver in 2005:

Billy and Cathy Myers

Can you tell they’re both smiling broadly?  Click on the picture to em-biggen it.

That’s the way they always were.  Happy to be together – happy to be underwater.

That’s the way I’ll remember them.

Sorry to hear about your friend Cathy. Over the last couple of years, Peg and I have lost 2 Moms, a couple of mentors and assorted relatives. Each of them had led good and full lives, but we miss them all and grief takes its own sweet time to pass. Last December we lost a dear friend and fellow musician a few years younger than us. She too had fought a heroic battle against a long illness. As we remember the passing of our friends, we need to remember to live… now… for ourselves and for those we love and to leave behind some good that endures – something you and Fred have done for a long time.

Nice job, Chris. I remember that day. This was one of the first pictures I took with the digital camera my folks bought me for my birthday. I think there were a few others as well of a giant lobster that Billy caught. Those were good times…
